AGCU congratulations go out  to:

Dr. Taryn Ashley Diane Beard

Taryn was the 2011 recipient of the Dock Ellis Memorial Scholarship.  She completed her undergraduate degree at Creighton University in Omaha Nebraska in 2015 and was accepted into Alliant International University California School of Professional Psychology in San Diego. She interned at Central Washington University Student Medical and Counseling Clinic and received her Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology degree in May 2019.


AGCU applauds Taryn’s dedication and perseverance in attaining this phenomenal achievement.

Donations to Avalon Gardens Elementary School

Donations to Avalon Gardens Elementary School - Donations are in the Amount of $2,500.
Donations made to school funds and presented to the principal of the school.

Student Stipends

Each year we award six stipends in the amount of $50 each to outstanding Avalon Gardens Elementary students selected by the principal.

Now accepting scholarship applications for 2018 - 2019.


Preference is given to students who attended AGES and/or Gardena High School.
